During the GvHD Hub Steering Committee Meeting in October 2023, key opinion leaders met to discuss supportive care provisions for patients with GvHD. The recorded discussion was chaired by Professor Mohamad Mohty and featured Mutlu Arat, Ali Bazarbachi, Yi-Bin Chen, Amin Alousi, Arnon Nagler, Attilio Olivieri, and Robert Zeiser.

 

Supportive care provision for patients with GvHD

The steering committee discussed the factors considered in providing supportive care for patients, including physical activity and physiotherapy. The experts also spoke about nutritional status and support, including treatments which can be used for nutritional intervention. Finally, infectious complications, microbiota modulation including upcoming clinical trials, and vaccination status were all discussed.
